The Thunderbirds’ precision on the attack and their strong blocking made it difficult for their opponents to gain momentum.

The squad’s determination and unwavering teamwork shone through. Chelsea Velez and Sonya Fa’amalele stood out as formidable blockers, disrupting Green River’s offensive plays.

Post-match, we had the opportunity to speak with some of Highline’s standout players but they declined to do an interview because they are not allowed to do personal interviews. They said, “We are not allowed to give information before a game or during the season.”

After their exceptional performance against Green River, their eyes move to the future. The Highline College women’s volleyball team will face Lower Columbia College this Friday, Oct. 20, as visitors.
