There is less than 24 hours until the world’s favorite showgirl releases her 12th studio album, “Life of a Showgirl.” Taylor Swift, along with producers Max Martin (“…Baby One More Time” and “Blank Space”) and Shellback (“So What” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”), created this album in between the European Eras Tour shows last year.
Alongside the album, Swift produced and directed an 89 minute documentary only in theaters the weekend of release. The movie will feature an exclusive premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot, lyric videos, and Swift’s reflections on each song.
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday morning, fans immediately combed for Easter eggs, placing bets that potential lyrics were slipped in at the end by Swift, “Come on honey, this is show business.”
Prepare yourselves for what social media will look like over the next week as Swifties hunt for Easter eggs throughout the album as well as Swift’s press appearances leading up to the release.
