People need to fight for equity and justice to make the world a better place, a local leader said here last week.
“Everybody should fight for equity,” said Cynthia Delostrinos, an attorney and Tukwila City Council member.
All people need to come together to help with racial equality, two speakers said here last week.
State Rep. Jesse Johnson, D-Federal Way, and his wife, health care professional Epiphany Johnson, talked about racial equality as part of Marin Luther King Week, Highline’s annual exploration of the work of late civil rights leader.
Highline’s annual MLK Week is kicking off virtually this Tuesday, Jan. 19, this year with the theme “Democracy for Whom?”
This will be the first time the yearly event is held online rather than in person on campus.
