On March 31, Seattle’s very own coffee shop, Starbucks, launched a brand-new mug collaboration with Disney. The limited mugs can only be purchased at the Disney parks or online. 

The Disney food blog says, “this mug is a great way to bring the joy and magic of Disneyland back home.” 

With two different options of the special mugs being sold, collectors can pick from options of either a Disneyland design or the Disneyworld design. The mugs feature different designs and themes than previous launches, including Car Land or Grizzly Peak. 

The Walt Disney World themed mug has many iconic Disney characters and park landmarks. Like Cinderella’s castle, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life, The Hollywood Tower and Figment. While the Disneyland mugs depict different Disney icons like Sleeping Beauty’s castle, the Jungle Cruise, Madame Leota, and Yeti. Both mugs also include Starbucks signature logo. 

Reviews on the mugs couldn’t be better receiving – a 5-star rating on Disney websites. With collectors leaving raving reviews on the product: “The bright colors make the design stand out and they are raised slightly. [It’s] classic Disneyland representation on the mug with the castle right in the middle.”

Others expressed their appreciation for the stacking design, allowing them to connect, store, and grow easier. Being both microwave and dishwasher safe, they are versatile and efficient. Fans can’t wait to expand their collection calling the new mugs a “Fun addition to my collection!”

The mugs were originally being priced at $24.99 both online and in person at Disney Parks, but collectors and resellers have listed prices as high as $49.99.

Fans of the two popular companies had been anticipating this launch since it was announced, March 11. After such a long wait, they can finally enjoy their favorite Disney characters while also enjoying some coffee. 

Disney collectors desperately wanted to get their hands on one of the newly released mugs. “Fans thought the mugs were ‘so cute’ and couldn’t wait to collect them,” wrote Parade.com, showing the demand for the products. 

Disney and Starbucks are not strangers to collaboration since the pair have released several products together throughout the years – tumblers, reusable cups and other drinkware. Recently, they launched matching tumblers that share the same design as the new Disney and Starbucks mugs. The mugs sold out quickly from Starbucks locations, but can still be found online at Disneystores.com and reselling sites like Ebay and Marketplace.
