Arcturus, Highline’s literary arts magazine, will be hosting a celebration on Thursday, June 9 to commemorate Arcturus’ recent achievement. The literary arts magazine entered the Associated Writing Programs contest last June and won the top national prize in design.
The Associated Writing Programs is a program that provides support, advocacy, and resources to writers, and college and university creative writing programs.
“At the event people should expect to enjoy a full-on celebration with food, music, and contributors sharing their written and visual arts,” said Susan Rich, a professor in Highline’s English department.
“Students, staff, and faculty will be entertaining the guests with a visual art show, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction readings,” Rich said.
The celebration will be held in Mt. Constance at 11 a.m.
