The Highline women’s tennis team started off its season against the College of Idaho on Feb. 12, losing 8-1.
Highline’s next match is Saturday, Feb. 19 at Pacific Lutheran University at 1 p.m. College of Idaho played against PLU, also on Feb. 12, and won 6-3.
Highline has six players on the roster, including three sophomores and three freshmen, lead by Head Coach Laura Rosa.
Highline has 14 matches this season, with opponents mixed between NWAC schools and local four-year programs.
The T-Birds had a COVID-shortened season last spring, going 4-0, including two 9-0 victories over arch-rival Bellevue. Bellevue has won 14 out of the last 15 NWAC titles, ending in 2019 with COVID. Highline was second for the last three full seasons, also ending in 2019.
