South 272nd Street in Kent will undergo several lane closures starting Dec. 8.

Federal Way Link Extension construction will be occurring near the road from Dec. 8 through Dec. 22, causing on-and-off closures for the duration. The stretch of road that will be affected spans between I-5 exit 147 and 26th Ave. South.

The closures will only affect a single lane at a time. No detours will be in place, but travel times in the area will likely increase.
