Despite its name, the Women’s Programs is committed to supporting not only women, but men and those with any identity – all students are welcome! This inclusive approach ensures that anyone seeking assistance can find a welcoming, accessible, safe, and supportive environment. The core principle of WPWF is to promote student success for all students, staff and our surrounding community.
Funding for the Women’s Programs primarily comes from fundraisers, donations, and other educational sources. This sustainable approach allows the program to maintain a consistent level of assistance for those who rely on their services.
“The services we offer in our center we primarily help low-income student parents that are receiving cash assistance through DSHS”, stated Women’s Programs Director Tina Ngo.
WPWF offers a comprehensive suite of services to alleviate the financial burden faced by these individuals. From tuition assistance to funding for books, school supplies, and quarterly parking permits, the program aims to remove barriers to education and create opportunities for success.

Recognizing the challenges faced by students who are also parents, the Women’s Programs extends its support to include emergency funding for daycare services. In the event of cancellations or the accumulation of late fees, the program can provide assistance to ensure that students have access to reliable child care resources. This support enables parents to pursue their education without compromising the well-being of their children.
Additionally, the Women’s Programs addresses the urgent needs of students who find themselves in precarious housing situations. In a confidential setting, if a student discloses experiencing domestic violence or dating abuse and lacks a secure place to call home, the program offers rapid short-term housing solutions. By providing a safe and stable environment, the program ensures that students can focus on their studies while working towards long-term stability.
Highline’s Women’s Programs stands as a beacon of hope and support for individuals in need, embracing a diverse range of individuals and providing comprehensive assistance. Tina Ngo and her dedicated team work tirelessly to ensure that gender-inclusive services are available to all who require them. Through their dedication to education, funding, childcare, and housing support they empower students to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
