Highline is inviting all students, families, and friends to learn about different ways to pay for college. The first “Paying for College Night” of the year will take place Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 4 – 6 p.m.
The night will begin with a presentation in Building 7, then transition to Building 30 to work on applications with guided help.
The event, hosted by the Undocumented Student Task Force, will cover: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA), scholarships, grants, and information about SB 5194 (which allows undocumented students to pay in-state tuition at state colleges and universities.)
This year, 2024-25 FAFSA and WASFA applications open in Dec. 2023. This event is geared towards applicants of the 2023-24 FAFSA and WASFA. Make sure to bring FAFSA or WASFA login information and any documents needed to complete your financial aid forms.
All students and community members are welcome to attend, and Spanish support will be available. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact TRiO Director, Tolu Taiwo at ttaiwo@highline.edu or (206) 592-3898.
