As Highline’s soccer season starts back up in only a few months, let’s look back at the men’s 2022 season.

Their season started off rocky, and by September they had a record of 5-4. But they didn’t let that get them down, they were determined to improve and win games.
That determination paid off as they made it to the playoff semi-finals, where they unfortunately lost 2-1 to Walla Walla which ended their season and made their overall record 11-6-2.
Although the 2022 season was a solid one for the Thunderbirds, Head Coach Steve Mohn is hoping and aiming for more when the 2023 season rolls around. Mohn is also excited about the team we will have next season.
“We always set our goals before each season starts. Winning the western division title and the NWAC title are always on that list,” said Mohn.
“I am very excited about the returning group of players we have as well as the incoming class of freshmen. We should have an exciting team to watch next year,” said Mohn.
Training starts back up on Tuesday, Aug. 1 and their first game will be at the NWAC friendlies at Starfire Sports Complex on Aug. 23 and 24.
