Local food banks provide support for the holiday season

Many families in the Highline community struggle with having food on their tables each and every day. This can be especially true on holidays like Thanksgiving. However, there are some local food banks to provide resources for these families this holiday season. 

Highline Area Food Bank

Highline Area Food Bank is a nonprofit which provides food resources to people around the Burien and Highline area.

The Des Moines Area Food Bank

The Des Moines Area food bank partners with Highline creating the Community Pantry providing food to people who carry a Highline College ID number.

Alimentando Al Pueblo

Alimentando Al Pueblo which is the only Latinx food bank in the Highline area providing food for the holiday today, November 21. 

Registration starts from 12 p.m. today, providing to families from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for participants who have registered cards. For more information visit:  https://alimentandoalpueblo.org/events/
