State Route 99 will be closed in SeaTac between South 204th Street and South 208th Street starting this Friday, Jan. 15.

All lanes will close 8 p.m. Friday to allow for construction of the Sound Transit Federal Way Link Extension project.

The agency will be constructing a temporary bypass in this location planned to remain in use until late 2022, in preparation for construction of the light rail. More information on the Link Extension project can be found at www.soundtransit.org/fwlink.

Construction will last through Jan. 17 at 8 p.m., when the stretch of road will reopen.
