Vice President JD Vance’s comment reminds people of the 1933 Gestapo

Staff Reporter Jan 15, 2026

Alarming new info has people thinking about the future of the United States and wondering if history is slowly repeating itself under this new administration. Vice President JD Vance states that ICE agents should have absolute immunity, and should be going door-to-door in search of victims.

Vance was asked by Fox News, “If you get the immigrants out of the country that came here illegally, that’s going to bring prices down. Are we getting these illegals out fast enough?”

Vance responded, “We always want to get them out faster … I think we’re going to see these deportation numbers ramp up as we get more and more people on line, working for ICE, going door-to-door.” Vance did not relate how ICE raids will lower grocery prices.

After the unfortunate and unlawful murder of US citizen Renee Good on Jan. 7, more news broke about two more US citizens who had been shot by federal agents and were taken to a nearby hospital, as stated by NPR. According to the Guardian, 32 individuals have died in ICE custody in the last year.

In Hitler’s Germany, 1933, anyone who was seen as an enemy and those who did not stand with his beliefs were either arrested or murdered. During this time the ‘Storm Detachments’(Sturmabteilungen in German) and the Gestapo were also going door-to-door looking for anyone who was deemed an enemy. These forces were given allowances for racial profiling, much like today’s ICE agents.

These points have been brought up time and again on social media platforms – people are afraid that history is indeed repeating itself. How long until something is done about it?

Please note that if ICE comes knocking on your door, they cannot enter without a signed warrant. They can slide it under your door, or show it to you at a nearby window but if the warrant is not signed by a judge, they cannot enter. If ICE approaches you outside of a secure building, knowing your rights gives you power.
