Highline and United Way are looking for volunteers to help people file their income taxes this year.
Volunteers will help people keep more of what they earn by leveraging anti-poverty tax credits and preparing their taxes for free.
The tax site will be open from Feb. 2 – April 22. No prior knowledge or experience is needed for volunteers. Volunteers must have a flexible schedule, and will serve three to six hours per week. Volunteers will be required to obtain an advanced IRS Tax Law VITA certification.
United Way of King County is a community focused nonprofit organization that focuses on energy, resources, homlessness, student graduation rates, and poverty.
