Is President Trump finally cracking?

Staff Reporter Jan 22, 2026

President Donald Trump has a history of lashing out at the press, particularly when approached about his long-time friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, and a camera to catch it all doesn’t stop his temper. While he may be the laughing stock of America, will his temper make him crack, or will he lash out in more violent ways?

A recent video surfaced on X, where Trump was visiting Ford Dearborn, Mich., the person, who was not in frame, yelled at Trump and can be heard saying “pedophile protector.” In return, Trump mouths “Fuck you” twice, and finishes it off with his middle finger to the person below and waved afterwards.

According to The Washington Post, the person who caused Trump’s upset is TJ Sabula, a Ford employee. The Post writes that Sabula “has been suspended from work pending an investigation.”

Sabula responded with, “As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever.” Sabula did express to The Post that he is worried about his job, but believed that he was “targeted for political retribution.”

This is not the first time we’ve seen Trump act short-tempered. Late last year, Trump responded with “Quiet, piggy,” to a reporter’s question over Trump’s inclusion in the Epstein Files. This was all captured on video.

It’s evident that Trump does not like his past being brought up in regards to having been friends with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but why is that? Could it be shame or perhaps guilt? While uncertain, people are still waiting to see the rest of the Epstein files. It’s unclear as to the extent of Trump’s involvement, but one thing is for certain: He is in the files that have been released thus far, but what about the rest of it?

How far will Trump take his anger? Could his presidency be over sooner than we think? If Trump continues to have very public tantrums, could it be the one thing that kicks him out of the White House; or could we take it as far as to say that Trump’s short temper could cause a war over something like a disagreement?

It wouldn’t be the first time that a sitting president’s temper lost them respect and following. John Adams was one of those presidents, where people did not follow him but rather loathed him. “His rule became an example of how a bad character can undermine authority,” stated by the RBC-Ukraine.

It’s possible that Trump may see the same treatment if this continues and perhaps keeping an eye on his temper would be something worth watching.
