Highline Highlights – Lizhuojing Xu (goes by Jing, she/her)

Staff Reporter Nov 30, 2023

The students of Highline College are such an eclectic group of scholars. It seems impossible to know each and every one on campus, but that won’t stop the Thunderword from trying.

Welcome to Highline Highlights, where we sit down with a fellow academic and take a peek into their life, using only five questions. This week’s subject is Lizhuojing Xu, who goes by Jing.

1. What is your major?

A: Communications

2. Last movie you saw?

A: “Wish”

3. Best sandwich?

A: White bread, fried beef, sweet and sour sauce

4. Farthest from your hometown that you have ever traveled?

A: Seattle, from Beijing, China. I’ve been here for one quarter.

5. What subject do you know too much about?

A: Antique restoration. One of my siblings has a company and I help restore antiques when I visit. We took a medallion out of the sea and restored it. Sometimes our work gets put back in a museum and sometimes we sell it to the highest bidder.

A big thank you to Jing for being the inaugural guest on Highline Highlights,  we wish her the best in her college career! If you or someone you know is interested in in being a future highlight, email us at tword@highline.edu
