Car prowls increase on campus

May 26, 2022

Highline Public Safety is urging people on campus to not leave valuables in their cars.

Car prowling and crime in the parking lots on campus has increased in recent weeks.

Your car is most vulnerable when valuables, like wallets or purses, are in plain sight, officials said.

The Department of Public Safety at Highline reminds students to roll up your windows and to lock all car doors.

They also recommend taking all valuables with you and install any sort of anti-theft device to decrease the risk of car theft.

If you notice strange behavior, like someone looking into cars, you can call Public Safety.

If you feel uncomfortable when having to walk to your car, you can call 206-592-3218 for a Public Safety escort.
