Highline students must submit their summer financial aid request form, documents, and other information requested before June 26, 2022.
The summer financial aid request form has been available since May 12, but the financial aid office urges students to submit it as soon as possible as the aid given to every student is limited. Students must register for summer classes before submitting their request form, if not, students will be denied aid, according to the financial aid office.
To access the request form, click on this link Summer Aid Request Form.
Along with the request form being open, summer and fall quarter 2022 registration also opened on May 12 for students to sign up for their classes. The financial aid office said students should sign up when their registration date opens as classes can get full quickly.
Registration dates for students to enroll for classes for summer and fall quarter 2022 can be found through ctcLink, student homepage, and then where you manage your classes, said the registration and records office.
Information on summer and fall quarter 2022 enrollment dates can also be found on Highlines website, click here Dates and Deadlines.
Financial aid is available to students who want either a two or a four-year degree at Highline. Students will typically fill out the FAFSA form, DACA and HPB1079 students will fill out the WASFA form, said the financial aid office.
To make the process of filling out forms easier and faster, the financial aid office asks students to include your income correctly, as most students have not in the past and the process could be longer.
Along with financial aid, the office said that students may not know that their award letter does not include summer quarter. Award letters tell the student how much financial money they may be eligible to receive.
The 2022-23 award year for fall 2022 will also not be requiring the Institutional form anymore, the financial aid office said.
If you have any questions about enrollment dates or summer financial aid, the registration and financial aid offices are both in Building 6 with both virtual and in-person services.
The link for hours for both offices can be found if you click on Financial Aid Office Hours and Registration and Records Office Hours.
The financial aid office also gives two weekly information sessions about financial aid questions through presentations, training, and workshops. The sessions take you step through step instructions on filling out these forms and other questions you may have.
The upcoming FAFSA Workshop will be held in-person in Building 29, room 308 this Friday from 3-4 p.m. And the final WASFA Workshop will be via Zoom on May 24 from 1-2 p.m., click on WASFA Workshop for the Zoom link.
