If you ride the Metro or light rail, be sure to look out for the Burien Actors Theatre’s ad, “less screen time, more play time” for a chance to win a free dinner. 

The Burien Actors Theatre is hosting a contest to promote its upcoming show, The Play’s the Thing, which will be coming to South King County parks in the summer. 

The Play’s the Thing was first adapted by P.G. Wodehouse of Ferenc Molnár’s 1924 Hungarian play. 

It is a comedy which follows the story of a young composer of a new show, Albert, and the playwright, Sandor, who tries to save Albert from heartbreak.

The prizes for the contest consist of three $35 gift certificates to the Elliott Bay Brewery & Pub. 

“We will randomly draw one name from those who post a photo of the outside of a bus with BAT’s ‘Less is More’ ad, one for a photo of our ad on the inside of a bus, and then one for a photo of the ad inside Link light rail car,” said Eric Dickman, the Burien Actors Theatre’s artistic director.

To enter the drawings for the prizes, find and snap a picture of BAT’s “Less is More” ad on the outside and inside of King County metro buses and on the Light Rail, and post it on your social media with the hashtag #BATRidestheBus or tag @BATtheatre. 

If you find and snap a shot of the ads in those three public transit locations, and post them, you can triple your chances of winning one of the gift certificates. 

This campaign is funded by 4Culture and SoCoCulture, said Dickman. These organizations promote and support cultural work that helps make King County a vibrant community. 

“The plan is for the contest to be fun and get people out,” Dickman said. “It may also encourage people to look for BAT’s ‘Less is More’ ad.”
