Highline’s 10th annual student poetry contest is accepting poem entries from current students.

Cash prizes will be awarded to contest winners. First place will be awarded $200, second place will receive $150, and third place will get $100. Several honorable mentions will also be awarded $75. 

The submission deadline for the poetry contest is Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. 

Students can submit up to three poems, each poem a maximum length of 20 lines plus the title. 

Poems will need to be submitted as either Google or Word documents. PDF’s will not be accepted. 

All winning poems will be placed on display and used during National Poetry Month 2022.
