Nintendo recently announced that they will be releasing remastered versions (dubbed “remakes”) of the Diamond and Pearl entries to its series of core Pokemon games, after 15 long years since their original 2006 release.
The remakes, titled Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, are expected to arrive in late 2021.

The Highline library has been holding virtual “Highline Reads” read-aloud bi-weekly sessions for adult Highline community members via Zoom.
Highline faculty, staff, and other community guest readers will be reading aloud to the Zoom audience from their own selections. The series will cover as many topics as they possibly can so that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
In addition to their bi-weekly Highline Reads sessions for adults (https://library.highline.edu/highlinereads), the Highline library is also holding virtual Highline Storytime read-aloud sessions on the alternate weeks for children in the community to enjoy.
“A lot of people don’t realize this, but our collection includes a good number of Children’s picture books, and we wanted to share these stories,” said Samantha Sermeno, a Highline reference librarian.

Their behind-the-scenes aquarium work has continued, along with online events for the general public to take part in.

The Highline Counseling Center invites community members to attend their weekly mindfulness sessions on Zoom every Tuesday night from 7 to 7:30 p.m. this quarter.
Every week, a member of the counseling faculty guides meeting attendees though meditations, readings, breathing techniques, and more to help unwind the feelings of anxiety and depression that affect so many of us.
After years of teaching local folks how to become police officers, Highline’s Dr. Steve Lettic is now doing the same in Bangladesh.
During last week’s annual Highline Welcomes the World Week, Highline professor and former Des Moines police officer Dr. Lettic talked about his work via the U.S. Department of Justice in a presentation of Zoom.
