Food trucks provide gourmet meals to cure hunger and bring happiness to Highline’s campus

Dining services at Highline have changed – instead of the cafeterias of the past, Highline now offers a variety of food truck options each week. These food trucks offer delicious food from different countries and bring a new dining experience to Highline’s campus.

In campus life, meals become a daily difficulty for teachers and students. Time on campus is always very tight and in order not to miss meals and nutrition every day, some people will choose to bring their own meals, and others consider the distance limit around campus for the solution to get food.

Whatever their choice is, fast and delicious meals are the conditions that most people consider, and Highline is providing a new option for campus attendees. In order to replace the closed cafeteria in Building 8, innovative foods trucks have debuted on campus, bringing more food options to students, and a new dining experience that is fast and steaming.

Different food trucks will be available every Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., to cure students, faculty, and staff’s hunger and start their days with happiness and fulfillment. The food trucks are located between Buildings 8 and 25.

“I’ve been on the Highline campus for over a year and I’ve eaten in almost every restaurant around and on campus,” said Highline student Leon Kim, while expressing his thoughts about food trucks. “I think it’s cool that there are food trucks coming to school everyday and that are not the same as the day before, so there’s a huge variety of flavors and options.”

The arrival of food trucks at the same time and on different days gives people the opportunity to try many different cuisines, such as: Asian Crazy 2022 (Vietnamese food), Mediterranean Food (Mediterranean food), El Koreano Food Truck (fusion of Mexican and Korean food), Tabbasum (Uzbek traditional halal food) and many more

“The trucks gives us more options for brunch, and not only does it come out faster, but all the food I get is steaming hot, which I love,” Farria Wally, another Highline student, said.

Ntuyet and Pineea are the owners and operators of Asian Crazy 2022 food trucks, and they are very much partners. Pineea has been developing his cooking skills since the age of seven. He has a passion for cooking and has been working hard to learn and explore the field of catering.

After meeting Ntuyet, they discovered a love of cooking and food together and decided to start a food truck together. This perfect collaboration allows them to pursue their dreams together and bring people a unique and wonderful food experience.

“I really enjoy making people aware of food from all over the world, all kinds of food, especially in terms of getting good reviews and knowing that my food is loved by people,” says the owner of Levantine Cuisine.
