Sonya Fa’amalele, a talented freshman player from Federal Way, Wash., shared her thoughts on the team’s recent performances and their upcoming games. “Honestly, I feel great about the last two matches, especially after our loss against LCC. It made us realize that we had to get back on track and play as the team I know we are. I attribute these victories to my team, my coaches, and my family. I love making the people who believe in me proud and would hate to let them down after all they have sacrificed for me,” she said.

When asked about the team’s preparation for the upcoming matches and how the recent successes would impact their approach, Fa’amalele said, “My thoughts about the upcoming matches are that we have to practice hard and just put our minds to it. All we got to do is lock in and stay disciplined about the game and just work together as a team. The recent successes are a great achievement for my first year as a college athlete. As we prepare for a game, all I can think of is just doing my job as a player and helping my teammates, especially reminding them that we are here to win.”

With this renewed determination and unity, the Highline women’s volleyball team is certainly prepared to tackle any challenges that come their way, eager to continue their winning streak in the upcoming matches. Their recent victories serve as a testament to their hard work and perseverance, setting the stage for an exciting remainder of the season.
