Do you want to play some ping pong? Highline is hosting a ping pong tournament next week for the college’s 60th Anniversary.
All students are allowed to play for free.
If you don’t want to play, you can sponsor a student for $20, or sponsor four students for $80.
To make it more interesting, more than just students are playing.
Josh Gerstman, executive vice president for institutional advancement, said they’re hoping for a good turnout.
“Highline invited alumni, faculty, staff and community members to register to participate,” he said.
Anyone who plays will receive Highline 60th Anniversary socks, a Dick’s Drive-In gift certificate, and more.
There will also be tournament prizes which can include a Starbucks gift basket, a Thunderbird swag bag and more.
The proceeds earned from this fundraiser will go to Highline College Foundation’s 60th Anniversary Campaign fund for students.
“These funds help support scholarships, emergency support and special projects,” Gerstman said.
The tournament will be on Tuesday, May 17 at 4 p.m. in Building 8.
