This photo story captures the sights and colors in Seattle, but mainly Pike Place. Many of these sights are places that are well known but people don’t really pay attention to the masterpieces in front of them – whether it be neon signs, small glass sculptures, or even the mere sight of the Ferris wheel.
This small place is what draws in many people to come see this tourist city. There is just so much to see and so much to offer in the city of Seattle.

Miners Landing is an attraction that many coming to Seattle are hopeful to see. It’s a waterfront entertainment hub with attractions such as the Seattle Great Wheel, a vintage carousel, arcade games, seafood boil, and its awesome photobooth. This has always been a prized spot for me as it makes you feel happy to be a part of this community.

Looking over the pier we see the beauties of Seattle and what makes Seattle the place it is. The famous Ferris wheel and the Puget Sound that feeds our city. Even on its gloomy days it’s always a sight to see.

This mini plant pot saying “you make the world better by being in it” was such a cute little quote that turned my frown upside down. I think everyday someone needs to be reminded that they are important and that they are extraordinary even if they don’t believe so. Each one of us is special in ways we can’t imagine.

These cute little peppers and flowers are made by the one and only Glass Eye studio which was originally founded in Seattle in 1978. I wanted to capture their essence and color. Many walk past admiring these art pieces as they shop in Pike Place but don’t really understand the time and dedication to make these.

Loback Meat Co. operated from 1946 until 1989, and was iconic for its beautiful sign, which still remains as a famous artifact in the market’s main arcade. Drawn in by the red neon lights, it’s honestly a sight to see, or should I say a sign to see.

Seattle Shirt Co. is the place to be able to pick up apparel when here for a quick visit. For tourists it may be a spot to pick up souvenirs, but for the locals and the owners it’s a place to make a good living. They have a great selection of sports gear as well as the cutest shirts to remember a great Seattle trip.

Short Street in Seattle, running through Pike Place, is famous for the Gum Wall and for its European ambiance. Many will look at it as being nasty and gross but it really is such a core part of Pike Place. This red and green sign signifies the beauty of this alley.
This photo story means a lot to me, if I’m being honest. Being raised around the city of Seattle you understand to appreciate the small and artistic things, as well as why tourists are so drawn to the heart of Washington. Being able to be a part of this community is honestly a blessing. I wanted this story to draw more readers into going into the city themselves and enjoy the vibrant colors that it brings.
