As Winter Quarter starts to come to an end, students are figuring out what and how they are going to spend their spring break.

A lot of students aren’t sure of what they are going to do yet because they are still stressed out over finals.

Allizon Bigornia, a student at Highline, said that she wished spring break was longer.

“Why is spring break so short? I need a whole month off,” she said with a laugh.

Nonetheless Bigornia doesn’t have anything planned out but has somewhat of an idea of what she will be doing during her break.

“As of now I don’t have any trips planned out during spring break. My main goal is to re-collect myself, as Winter Quarter was a really hectic time for me. I think I’ll spend some time to pick up at-home exercise routines again, read more books, and plan out dinner dates with my friends,” she said.

Jherica Balaoing said that she has only planned out a couple of days but other than that will try to relax as much as she can throughout her break.

“When Winter Quarter ends, which is on March 23 for me, my cousin and I will go out to Leavenworth and stay for a night. During those two days we will probably go hiking and eat somewhere. After that I will go home and relax. Stay home for the rent minder of the time unless someone calls me up to hang out,” Balaoing said.

Crystal Chhour said that she and a friend decided to get rid of extra stressors and quit their jobs and go on a trip to either Leavenworth or Canada.

“So that week will be the first week of our unemployment. We will go on a trip to Leavenworth or Canada and go on a food tour. We will also stay in a hotel rather than Airbnb’s. We’re kind of sick of Airbnb’s, plus a hotel seems fancier, and we’ll take as many photos as possible so we can show our friends when we come back,” they said.

Other students also said they plan to travel.

“I plan on going to California with friends,” said Kimberly Lee.

“I’m going to Niagara Falls with my family,” said Kenny Vo.

Some students plan on completing their tasks over spring break.

“I plan on finding a job,” said Jayson Shen. a Highline student.

“I plan on getting my driver’s license over break,” said Salma Hassam.

Other students will be having a low key spring break.

“My friends and I are going to play video games together,” said Harmony Lee.

“I plan on staying at home and playing video games,” said David Pak.

“I plan on staying home,” said Shelsea Daccanes.

Unlike many students, Ivy Luong has her break all planned out. She said that she is going on a trip to tour her university and then visit a friend.

“I’m going to go to Hawaii to tour my hopefully future university. After that I plan to go to California to visit a friend and spend the rest of my spring break there,” she said.

Maili Christianson said that she hopes to relax and spend time with her family throughout her spring break.

“For spring break I’m probably going to relax and destress, maybe go to Great Wolf Lodge with my family, and definitely clear my phone storage,” she said with a laugh.

Some students won’t really get a chance to enjoy spring brea

“I won’t be having a spring break because I’m taking full time classes,” said Jia Ahmed.

“I won’t really be having a break because I still have to attend my high school classes,” said Fatimah Shareef, a Running Start student.

While other students will go on mini vacations during the break.
