Highline is hosting the Associated Students of Highline College 2024 Legislative Breakfast in Building 8, inside the Mt. Constance/Olympus room, on Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
This event provides an opportunity for members of Highline’s community to voice their questions, concerns, or their encountered challenges directly to local members of Washington State’s legislative branch over breakfast.
The legislative branch of government is made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Both houses meet with each other to discuss various policies and vote on which laws are to be passed.
There will be an opening welcome speech and legislators introduction from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Then, student speakers will take over the discussion.
Breakfast will be ordered from IHOP and will include a wide selection, such as pancakes, sausages, waffles, eggs, bacon, and fruit.
Visit the Center for Leadership & Service (CLS) located on the third floor of Building 8, for addressing any questions about the event. Or visit the CLS event page for more information and a detailed schedule.
