At Highline with the coming of spring, students are changing their fashion style away from long coats, jackets, and woolen clothes. Now, they think floral prints will serve better with this weather.
As we all know spring has started and everybody is ready to enjoy it with jovial moods. It is the transition between the winter and summer seasons. The weather is pleasant as the days get longer and nights get shorter, the temperature also increases a little bit and the flowers are blooming.
While interviewing students about their everyday fashion choices on Highline campus, many displayed enjoyment in their responses to the questions asked.
When asked what are students’ favorite clothing for the spring season, Highline student Lysiana said, “I like to wear dresses with floral prints, tank tops and mainly comfy clothes.”

On the other hand, some boys seemed to resort to blue and white colored shorts.
The majority of the students said that their favorite color for this season is blue. The main preference of clothing for the students is light colors like blue and yellow.
Furthermore, students were asked about color-coordination and whether it was important to them or not.
Highline student Jay said it varies on a number of things like where they might be going.
”It just depends on the outfit, if I am going to any particular place then I will think about the color coordination. But, if I am going to school then I will not think about the colors. I will just wear what is in front of me,” the student said.
Highline student Juliya also said that the color combination of blue and yellow is one of their favorites for the spring season.
Moving forward, students were then asked if they bought new clothes as the seasons change. Some students replied to this question by saying that they only buy new clothes for upcoming events. Others said that they do not, but instead they buy clothes throughout the year.
Students were then asked whether they considered fashion as art and a way of expressing and representing themselves and many said yes.
Highline student Kasim said, “That I am even running after the brands according to the new work they do on their clothes and shoes that is also a kind of art.”
The student also mentioned the famous brand Balenciaga was one that expressed their fashion in a unique and awesome way.
As a result of spring fashion at Highline, students were finally asked whose fashion sense they enjoyed the most. Many of the students said popular and well-known people in the world.
One student said Princess Diana, another said Priyanaka Chopra.
The look of artist and singer Doja Cat at the Met Gala by one particular student who said that it was the best thing they had seen. Doja’s entire body was said to be covered in 30,000 red swarovski crystals. The student also said they loved it because it was different from current fashion trends and it displayed unique art in the fashion industry.
Spring fashion is a change from cold weather to a warm blissful touch and from long coats to dresses and shorts. As Highline students change what they may wear on campus, their inspiration and color choices may also derive heavily on the season.
