The Lady T-Birds lost 2-5 in a visit to Arizona Christian University, Ariz., highlighting the participation of the captain Princess Ventura along with Jocelynn Nguyen in doubles and Kinsey Lockhart in singles.
The tennis team had a very busy spring break, they traveled for four days, from Saturday, March 25, to Thursday, March 28, to play against one of the strongest 4-year colleges and universities in the sport.

Even the scoring markers are different, as pointed out by Head Coach Laura Rosa. “The scoring is different against the bigger schools and instead of a 9-point match with each doubles counting as a point, a team has to win two out of the three doubles matches to win the only doubles point,” said Coach Rosa.
The captain, Princess Ventura, who led the team in the last game had a good performance, but all the players had great moments of dominance on their courts. It should be noted that most of the team’s students are young and new to the team.
The next game for the NWAC Conference against Treasure Valley Community College is on Saturday, April 8. It will be played at home at 9:30 a.m. The team is second in the table and they must surely win to be leaders.
“Historically we have matched up well against TVCC, but we know better than to underestimate any team. I do feel really good about the progress we made in Arizona and hope to see us continue to grow in our ability to compete,” said Coach Rosa.
