Three Thunderbirds participated in the NWAC championships while six teams competed, including Highline.
North Idaho Community College took first place in the men’s team competition, posting a score of 589. Bellevue College took first place for women by posting a score of 499 as a team.
For the Thunderbirds’ men’s team, Tyler Alwart scored 76-82 and tied for 19th place.
For Highline’s women’s team, Anjali Nadu scored 98-95 and finished in 19th place, while Jadyn Shaw scored 112-112 and came in 24th place.
With the season at a close, the golfers will be putting their clubs down.
When asked about takeaways from this year player Jadyn Shaw said, “I learned that confidence is key and to trust myself on the course.”
Despite only three players participating in the NWAC championships, the team is still very young and will have time to compete more in the future.
